Meet the Maker

I’ve worked for costume shops, textile conservationists, custom clothing creators, high and low end tailors. At this point I want to spend my time creating what I want to see in the world. By day I work as a hat doctor, by night I create silly things.

The intention of Eyetrade Handmade is to discover the potential in everyday objects. To engage users in ways that will make them smile and quirk their heads. Creating a different perspective for objects that are overlooked. I use found and discarded materials to create this new perspective. Striving to find magic in the mundane.

To me, art is the perfect representation of Truth because it can be interpreted differently by many different people. The same way three people can all experience the same event and all three people can have completely different stories. Art is how I understand and communicate with myself and the world around me.
