Friend or Foe is an exploration of our atmosphere and relationship to the Sun. I find I have always attached positive emotional responses to the Earth and the Sun. The Earth is associated with trees, grassy lawns, and beaches. The Sun associated with shorts, suntans, and late summer evenings. Beyond those superficial reasons we need both to survive. As we slowly experience the self inflicted results of global warming and the previous damage done to the ozone the Earth and Sun take on a new uncaring and impartial persona. Friend or Foe can also be seen as the Earth’s natural response to humans based on how we treat our planet.
