Flower a Day, A Two Year Metaphor 2016-2020

45″ X 62″

Flower a Day is constructed by crocheting one flower for everyday for two years. It is supposed to be a practice in mindfulness and a way to battle the race of time. The colors represent different emotions; the closer to blue the more at peace and content I am, the closer to red the more uncomfortable and unbalanced I feel. I repeat colors when I miss a series of days to show the weeks I was not paying attention as well as I could.
